I imagine that most people outside of Florida are familiar with at least the idea of “orange blossoms”; it’s a popular scent. Here in South Florida, we also are familiar with avocado blossoms. They have a scent as well, but it’s somewhat dry, dusty and slightly musky, not sweet and bright like orange blossoms. One of my favorite honey varietals is avocado honey, and one of my most detested is orange blossom. Go figure.
