Even before I was studying art in undergrad (I was first in the sciences), I was taking wheel-throwing ceramics classes. I then did continue to take ceramics while pursuing my BFA, however, I was far more enticed by my lithography and metalsmithing classes, and didn’t put as much effort into ceramics. A year or so before the pandemic, I began to take ceramics again, and even have incorporated some hand-building into my larger art practice. Those works will be included in their respective body-of-work pages, while this page is solely to share my functional and semi-functional vessels. I have been focusing on soda and raku fired works.
